Just saw the clip on tv. I read earlier the Black woman interviewed cried for an hour and felt "betrayed" when she saw the cartoon. I'm sorry for the sista's pain, but honestly...what did you expect?

okay, let's REALLY talk about this one:

first and foremost - what makes something stereotypical? is it when the 2 people who are defending it happen to take place in the consumption of these items, or the fact that it was placed PURPOSEFULLY AROUND A BLACK MAN'S FACE IN ORDER TO INSINUATE THAT HE DEVOURS THESE ITEMS AT A RAVENOUS RATE SINCE HE IS BLACK?!?!

secondly - what makes a woman who is married to a mexican man racist? the fact that she CONSTRUCTED AN IMAGE OF A BLACK MAN WITH CHICKEN, RIBS, WATERMELON, KOOL-AID, AND THINGS OF THE LIKE TO PASS AROUND TO HER COMRADES!?
mexican, little mixed daughter of the two idiots, which, by definition, also makes you an idiot, is NOT black, therefore racism against ANOTHER group besides one ethnic background is still applicable. and don't think for one second that the marriage of two people from different backgrounds can erase all thoughts of racism from one's head.

thirdly - black woman who too had a sip of the red flavored kool-aid water as you so aptly put it, why are surprised? your party has been disseminating these images and ideologies throughout the campaign, and you now want them to approach you for history lessons? excuse me, hazel-eyed woman, please get thine own self to a historical outlet first.
